Two new programs are available for open enrollment starting this fall--Advanced Speaking Skills, which builds on our Executive Seminar, and Workshop Your Presentation, a two-day intensive in which participants bring their own presentations to develop and improve.
“Executive Seminar grads tell us they want to come back for more. And we know from our private coaching that many clients have professional presentations they want to fine tune. So we’re launching two new sessions to meet those needs,” says school co-director Karen Kalutz.

Advanced Speaking Skills includes impromptu speaking practice plus exercises to improve storytelling skills and the ability to handle questions and challenges. Like the Executive Seminar, the Advanced Seminar will culminate in a debate—but with twists to make that final performance even more challenging.
In Workshop Your Presentation, participants enhance fundamental skills while working on their own professional presentations. Through one-on-one work with coaches, they'll improve content (including PowerPoint or other visuals) and practice delivery. The goal is for each to leave with a strong presentation ready to deliver, plus new abilities for speaking in general.
Both classes use Buckley hallmark methods including on-your-feet practice with immediate feedback, small class size with individual attention, and the opportunity to learn from classmates as well as instructors.
“I always say our Executive Seminar is like summer camp with adult beverages,” says Buckley School co-director Jenny Maxwell, “because we bring these smart people together in our little town of Camden, they get away from their offices, test themselves, and often wind up staying in touch long after they leave. I’m sure these new programs will have that same vibe and offer those same great opportunities to learn from classmates and make new connections.”
